Today was one of those days you wish you had a shovel on the front of your shoes. Eau Claire precipitation/ snowfall charts show we will be recieving 2-4 inches of snow today. When I was outside earlier in the afternoon their was a slight wind coming from the east and almost 100% cloud cover. The heavy cloud cover kept temperatures pretty mild. Today we had a high of 16 degrees ferenheit, with temps expected to drop tonight to around 10 overnight. Looking at radar imagery from NOAA it looks like there is a bunch of precipitation around the rockies, which will make its way toward the midwest in the next few days. According to this image from http://www.weather.com/ Kansas City and Chicago are among the cities looking to get pretty hard hit by this storm.
The good news for us here in Eau Claire, we should be low on the recieving end of this snowfall and should recieve a few inches at best.
